Dr. Gary Richardson

Pastor

 

Gary Richardson, a native Mississippian, was born to James and Narcissa Richardson. After 19 years in business, God called him into full-time ministry. He received his seminary degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Richardson has served in three churches as pastor: Edgewater Baptist, New Orleans, LA, First Baptist, West Point, MS, and North Oxford Baptist, Oxford, MS. He is married to the former Janet Word, Gary and Janet have three children and nine grandchildren.

Johnny Flynt

Associate Pastor/Admin. & Recreation

 

Johnny Flynt is a native of Jackson, MS and has lived in Oxford since 1973. He is a graduate of Southern Mississippi and Ole Miss. He was an instructor in the Exercise Science/Leisure Management Department at Ole Miss for 24 years and an assistant baseball coach for 10 years. Since 1975, Johnny has served in various capacities on staff and is currently the Associate Pastor of Administration, Adult Education, and Recreation. He and his wife, Joann, have two children and ssix grandchildren (two who were adopted from China). Johnny's first book, "Coaching With a Purpose" was published in October, 2008.

David Bodenheimer

Associate Pastor/Children's Education & Facilities

 

David Bodenheimer joined the NOBC staff in 1995. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1979 and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1985.

David and his wife, Lynda, were married after they both graduated from seminary in 1985 and have two children, Lauren and Martin. Before coming to NOBC, David and Lynda were Southern Baptist missionaries to Budapest, Hungary. Lynda has served as the M.A.P.S. director at NOBC since 1997. M.A.P.S. is our Mother's Morning Out Program and stands for "Mothers and Preschoolers."

Fish Robinson

Associate Pastor/College

 

Justin "Fish" Robinson, is married to the former Beth Eure. Married since 1999, they have two boys: Adam (born 2004), and Caleb (born 2005). Fish is originally from Cleveland, MS. He graduated from Cleveland High School and Delta State University. Fish has been serving God as student evangelist and Pastor to Students for the past ten years. He came to North Oxford in August 2004.

Brent Colee

Associate Pastor/Youth


Brent Colee ,a native of Hartselle, AL, ministers to our youth, grades 7-12, and has a passion for leading people to Jesus Christ. Brent attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities. He has traveled as a youth speaker and evangelist and served part-time as a member of Team Impact, performing feats of strength while presenting the gospel. Brent and his wife, Marianne, have been married for almost seven years, and in May added three siblings – Benjamin, Brianna, and Elizabeth -- from Peru to their family. Brent began his ministry at North Oxford in October, 2011.

 


 

Gwenda Brown

Creative Learning Center Director

 

Gwenda Brown is the Director of the Creative Learning Center, our weekday education program, which opened in August, 2008.  She is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in Child and Family Development and is a Licensed  Social Worker. She and her husband, Mark, have two children, Wes and Emme.

Lori Bray

Nursery Coordinator


Lori Bray is the go-to person in our Nursery Ministry. Lori is responsible for organizing and directing volunteers and paid nursery workers for all church activities that require childcare. She coordinates childcare with the Nursery Committee, Sunday School teachers, organizational leaders, and the staff to insure an organized and safe environment for our preschoolers. Lori and her husband, Bradley, have two children, Lora Leigh and Charley.

Lynda Bodenheimer

M.A.P.S. Director


Lynda Bodenheimer has been a member of NOBC since 1995 and is the director of our M.A.P.S. (Mothers and Preschoolers) Ministry which began in 1996. M.A.P.S. is a mother's morning out program for children, one and walking through three-year olds, which meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Lynda is a graduate of Ole Miss and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She and her husband, David, have two children, Lauren and Martin.
